New To CrossFit? 5 Tips YOU Need To Know (Before You Start!)

Today, I’m here to guide you through 5 Things that you should know before you start your first session. This will give you a bit of breathing room, and enable you to have the smoothest first session possible.


  1. Terminology

CrossFit is full of jargon, to navigate it will give you a leg up on the competition

It will also make your transition into your very first CrossFit class easier if you understand exactly what your coach is trying to say.

2. Handcare


CrossFit is pretty damn hard on the hands, but having the correct handcare kit will be key!

CrossFit will be easy for some, but challenging for others, especially if you haven't trained in a while. The best thing to do is keep your ego at the door, and consult with your coach on the best ways to approach a specific workout or movement.

4. Coaching

Having a coach will greatly improve your ability to perform CrossFit, and get the most adaptation possible. Just like every sport, there are great coaches, and...Not so great coaches. Luck of the draw here, but just keep in mind, that your coach should provide you with the attention & care you need when first starting off, If you don't feel like that's the case, it might be time to try somewhere else.


5. Community

The community will be there to support you! The greatest thing about the CrossFit community is that everyone is there for the same goal: To improve!
